The Vignelli Canon is a design manifesto of sorts. The content itself was quite bold, so I wanted to translate that boldness into the redesign with a classic magazine feel. The book also felt like the start of a movement in design, and to compliment that, I added movement in all my spreads through staircased texts and off-page graphic elements. I kept the original red-orange color a running theme throughout the book to pay homage to the original designs of the Vignelli Canon.
